We are pioneering the electric revolution on three wheels. Our e-Tuks are 100 % electric, fun and very economical. Diemen based, worldwide operating we are now moving into the second decade of our existence as a small car manufacturer.

The world is changing and so are we. We are moving from a single unit sales model to a distributors model. In that transition, we now are looking for a Business Development Manager.


Scope

International Business Development in a defined territory: find and develop key partners, maximize sales opportunities and maintain strong working relationships. Based out of Diemen (Amsterdam), frequent travel required.



Targets

  •  Achieve sales and profit objectives for each market.
  •  Understand each market and propose and implement the best channel strategy for each territory.



Responsibilities

  •  Develop market intelligence in order to evaluate the potential of each area and the best route to market and network strategy to reach the potential.
  •  Define and propose to Top Management a market by market strategy aiming at maximizing sales and profit potential for each product segment.
  •  Find the necessary key partners in each market to represent the brand and maximize opportunities considering all aspects for final customer satisfaction (sales, marketing, service, …)
  •  Strengthen and maintain strong relationships with each Distributor aiming at achieving sales and profit objectives and maintaining high-level customer satisfaction in each market.
  •  Prepare contracts and follow-up on achievements through regular business reviews.
  •  Create marketing plans with each Distributor based on available tools and local requirements.
  •  Report to the Head office and to management on specific market needs and market developments.
  •  Support all operational processes (orders, deliveries, payments, …) and facilitate communication between Head office and the Distributors.
  •  Manage customers’ expectations through clear and honest attitude and adequate communication.
  •  Coordinate overall relationship between Head office and Distributors.
  •  React to any local inquiry in a minimum time and maximize the conversion rate of direct leads through a proactive attitude.
  •  Achieve sales and profit objectives for each market.
  •  Report on a regular basis on activities, achievements and customer contacts and meetings.



Skills & competences

  •  Outstanding business acumen and international business understanding.
  •  Ability to quickly define a vision for a market approach.
  •  Understanding of channel and pricing management.
  •  Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective networks and relations.
  •  Experience in leading and closing deals with high-level organizations and people.
  •  Strong leadership and persuasion skills.
  •  A creative and innovative approach, ability to make presentations and to lead senior management level business meetings.
  •  Understanding of automotive industry and distribution networks for mobility products.
  •  Enthusiastic, reliable and honest and able to maintain long-term high-level relationships.
  •  Timely and accurate communicator, reactive and service oriented.
  •  Team player and collaborative relationships builder. Motivating others through natural leadership and teamwork approach.
  •  Able to work under pressure and short deadlines and eager to achieve challenging objectives.



Education and Experience

  •  Degree in business development, international business or marketing.
  •  Relevant experience in international business development.
  •  Proven international commercial successes in a similar industry with sufficient size.
  •  Automotive industry experience not required but is preferred.
  •  Understanding and interest in electric vehicles and E-mobility.
  •  An international network.
  •  Proven experience in building up structure and achieving results in small organizations.
  •  Modern computer applications
  •  English mandatory, Dutch preferred, any other language is a plus.
